The Underwater Detective program is for Kids, Teens and Adults and is presented by the Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago (UASC). 

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Identifying the parts of a ship
  •  
  • Discover clues about the wreck
  • Watch a video of some of the shipwrecks in Lake Michigan
  • Draw the shipwreck like a real underwater archaeologist
  • Learn about the gear needed to go scuba diving when you are an underwater detective
  • Discover why shipwrecks of the world are important to our history and our future
  • Participants with receive a Certificate of Accomplishment from the Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago (UASC)
  • Handouts will include further information on underwater studies
  • The video Explore Chicago Shipwrecks by UASC with 7 ships of the Great Lakes featured on the DVD
